Roza
Artist-Painter
My passion for arts and painting started at a very young age. And despite studying and working in a scientific field as a Research Engineer, my need to express myself through art never went away. My emotions, my travels and my love for the nature that surrounds us are my main inspirations. During the last years I have been living between 3 countries: France, Greece and Spain, I was lucky enough to visit a huge variety of amazing landscapes that I am using as an inspiration for my paintings.

My almost daily contact with the nature by the sports that I practice, snowshoeing, hiking and climbing, had made me see the world from a different perception. This constant source of inspiration gives rise to strong emotions that I feel compelled to transmit through my art on canvas. Having been born next to the sea in Greece, the sea became my safe dream place. The sea landscapes that I paint from my vacations photos or my vivid memories dominate many of my paintings.

I started as an autodidact artist and during this journey I jointed the courses of the local atelier artSème. I also participated in the training courses, stages, at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon (oil portrait painting) and at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Paris (drawing).
I am working mainly with acrylics and oil but some of my works have been made with gouache as well and pastel.

Most of the time I paint at my base in the Grenoble area and when the weather permits I enjoy working in the garden. The beautiful surrounding view while listening at the same time the birds singing is the perfect environment for creation.

Stage at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon
I am constantly trying to learn new things and to develop more my artistic horizons, by experimenting new techniques or by following various stages. In my stage at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Lyon I discovered the delicacy of oil painting for portraits. Here my work (applying the shadows and final portrait) based on the painting of Johannes Vermeer,Girl with a Pearl Earring.
